Thanks, Concetta! I’m not completely happy with the ending–I know it will still see some revision–but I’m glad you like the story. Wow, thank you for posting this! Exquisite all the way through, and the tension keeps building, until I gasped at the end when I discovered Willow’s fate.
Simply gorgeous … every single word.

Aw, thanks, Kirsten! I really appreciate (and NEED) the encouragement! The anthology story alludes to a lot of what’s happening in this one, but from the parent’s pov. The two in conjunction are supposed to emphasize the way each generation misreads and misunderstands the other. Not sure if I’ve accomplished that–I know they both still need work–but for right now, I think (hope) they both stand OK on their own.
